Gluten Free Almond Biscotti

Since my husband just loves biscotti, I’ve decided to give it a try and bake them myself 🙂

It’s not so pretty for the first time, but oh my gosh is so good and crunchy! Next time I’ll cut it thinner to be more crunchy. I’m loving it! I hope you enjoy it too!


  • 1 ¼ cups blanched almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
  • teaspoon sea slat
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract (optional)

In a mixing bowl mix almond flour, arrowroot powder, salt and baking soda

Mix it until ingredients are well combined

Pulse in honey, apple sauce,  slivered almonds, almond extract and orange extract until the dough forms a ball.

Form dough into 2 logs on a parchment lined baking sheet

Bake at 350° for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and cool for 1 hour

Cut the logs into ½ inch slices on the diagonal with a very sharp knife

Spread slices out on a baking sheet and bake at 300° for 12-15 minutes

Remove from oven and allow to cool, set, and it become crispy.

Makes about 12 small biscotti
